Two-Day Mastery Intensive: Impressionist Landscape Painting

Immerse yourself in a two-day intensive journey into the world of Impressionist landscape painting, where light, colour, atmosphere, and spontaneity become the heart of your artistic expression.

Designed as a concentrated mastery course, this immersive experience combines focused instruction, outdoor painting, and practical exploration of the techniques that defined the Impressionist movement. Over two inspiring days, you will learn how to see the landscape through the eyes of a painter — capturing not every detail, but the fleeting sensation of a particular moment.

Day One — Seeing Light and Colour

Begin by exploring the fundamental principles of Impressionist painting: colour relationships, composition, and the observation of natural light. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, you will learn how to simplify a landscape and translate its changing light and atmosphere into expressive strokes of paint.

The afternoon is dedicated to painting outdoors, working directly from the landscape. You will experiment with colour mixing, warm and cool contrasts, complementary colours, and rapid brushwork while learning to capture the changing mood of the scene. In case of cold season or rainy weather we paint indoor, using the location for retreat (hotel, villa, countryside bed & breakfast location).

Day Two — From Observation to Mastery

The second day takes your practice further, focusing on composition, depth, atmosphere, movement, and personal expression. You will develop a more confident and spontaneous approach to painting, learning how to establish the major colour masses quickly before building the painting through increasingly expressive layers.

A full outdoor (or indoor with references) painting session will allow you to put the techniques into practice under guidance, with individual feedback and demonstrations throughout the day. Particular attention will be given to finding your own visual language while remaining rooted in the principles of Impressionism.

An Immersive Artistic Experience

This two-day intensive is more than a painting class — it is an opportunity to slow down, observe deeply, and experience the landscape through colour and light.
